Description

Adobe Photoshop CS6

Fourth in a series done for my guild in Ragnarok Online 2.  I enjoyed creating a character that was both deadly and sexy, finding the balance between the two.  Two more to go until this project is completed.  Comments and feedback much appreciated!

Heya! I was trying to write a critique but goddamn word limit orz but anyways to be honest, it's hard to write a critique without a reference compare it with for me so writing based on my own judgement. Moving on-

First off, the paint style is inconsistent. In the top half, it looks like it's painted with a hard brush but then on the bottom half, it looks like all soft and gradient-ish. You could blend the color to be more evenly on the top imo by lasso-ing the shaded areas and playing around with gradient tool, I suggest that you do it on another layer though if you're unsure or unfamilar. Also I can't help but notice the feathers on the top looks rather unfinished compared to the ones on her gauntlets.

Next is the lighting. Where exactly is it coming from? the lighting on her hair looks like the lights are from the top right corner but the lighting on her body says that there's also light from the bottom left corner but her left arm make it looks like there's another light coming from the other side of the 'camera' too.
And the white outlines; I'm not sure if you are trying to make a backlight effects or make the character pop out even more on the foreground but if it's the former, I suggest using reference (google 'backlighting').
Like for instance this pic

You can tell there's a strong lighting coming from the back of the subject and then there's a softer light reflected on the bottom right side. Also notice how the backlighting gradually fades.

Which brings me to shading, other than what I have already pointed out above, I think they could do a little more contrast, especially her back. And the chains. There's light on it but there's no shadows :(

Finally anatomy, the boob looks...foreign. Like not part of the body. If you're showing the back of a character, by right you shouldn't see so much of the front. That includes boobs. And her face looks rather tiny compared to the size of her head.

Overall, I don't think it's too bad. Could use a little more time and clean up :) If you have any questions feel free to ask!
